Recce Time

Hello to all RBRR Drivers,

This is my first foray into the "blogging world" so I hope it's okay.

Tim and I will soon be taking to the Welsh roads to recce a new section which hopefully will give us a few extra miles, more great roads and new stop in a well known forest. We'll keep you guessing on that.

Tim has been trying to get 2000 miles on the Road Book for some time now. This was a target I set for the 17th event in 2000 but failed. Obviously the more mileage added in, the more recce work is required, and time did not allow. I think Tim has become more determined over the years to get there so who knows, that magic figure may yet appear.

Before doing a recce we can only use the map and estimate the mileage we are gaining. Until we actually get out there and drive the roads we don't know what will end up in the Road Book.

So far this RBRR looks like being one of the most significant in terms of changes. We are aiming to do away with some of the more tedious stretches. We will all have to wait and see what those changes will bring.

Happy and safe motoring,
Nigel Abdullah,
Route Man
